The Hungarian Prime Minister’s personal economic consultant, Gyorgy Szapary, told portal fn.hu on Tuesday that the Government will seek to renew the loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund, after the current one expires in 2010.
Szapary said the Government has no plans to borrow, but will seeks to restore investor confidence by running a “backup package” just in case. He added the IMF’s conditions for the agreement are to enact economic policy supporting “long-term growth.”
